I am a furniture maker,devoted to creating exceptional Shaker and Arts and Crafts inspired furniture.I work in the time honored manner of traditional craftsmen, using joinery that is best suited for the application even thought this is more time consuming than other less precise methods;I use techniques such as mortis & tenons and dovetails rather than dowles and screws.

I personally select all of my woods, paying attention to grain,color and figure. I select wide lumber to use for table tops, many times using woods from the same tree. This allows the color, grain and figure to match without using stains that cloud the woods natural beauty. Wood is natural and has many features that add interest. Some of these are : curl, birdseyes, blister, burl, crotch, swirl and knots.Figured woods add interest to the finished piece.
